Why Resize PDF Pages?
PDFs often need to be resized to match printing requirements or screen viewing standards. A document created in US Letter format may need to be converted to A4 for international use, or a large-format PDF may need to be scaled down for standard printing.
Common scenarios include converting between US Letter and A4 for international compatibility, scaling A3 posters to A4 for standard printers, preparing documents for specific print size requirements, and standardizing page sizes across merged documents.
Our tool resizes all pages in your PDF while intelligently scaling the content to fit the new dimensions — all running locally in your browser.

Resize PDF FAQs
Common questions about resizing PDF pages
Is this tool free?
Yes, our PDF resize tool is completely free with no limitations. Resize as many PDFs as you need without signing up.
Is my PDF secure?
Absolutely. All processing happens directly in your browser using JavaScript. Your PDF is never uploaded to our servers or any third party.
What page sizes are supported?
We support A4, US Letter, US Legal, A3, A5, and Tabloid as presets. You can also enter custom dimensions in millimeters, inches, or points.
What's the difference between Fit, Stretch, and Center?
Fit scales your content proportionally to fit within the new page (no cropping, no distortion). Stretch stretches content to fill the exact new dimensions (may distort proportions). Center places the original content centered on the new page without scaling.
Does resizing affect text quality?
The resize uses PDF-level transformations, so vector content like text and shapes remains sharp. Embedded raster images may be slightly affected by scaling, but this is generally not noticeable.
Can I resize only specific pages?
Currently, the tool resizes all pages in the document to the same target size. If you need different sizes per page, you can split your PDF first with our Split PDF tool, resize each part, then merge them back.
Is there a file size limit?
Our tool supports PDF files up to 50MB. All processing happens in your browser.
Can I resize a password-protected PDF?
No, you need to remove the password first. Use our Unlock PDF tool to remove the password, then resize the pages.
