Is this WebP to JPG converter free?

What is the difference between JPG and JPEG?

JPG and JPEG are exactly the same format. The only difference is the file extension — older Windows systems limited extensions to three characters (.jpg), while other systems used .jpeg. Both produce identical files and are interchangeable.

What quality setting should I use?

For most images, 92% (the default) provides an excellent balance between file size and visual quality. For photographs where quality is critical, use 95-100%. For web use where smaller file sizes matter, 80-85% is usually visually indistinguishable from higher settings while producing significantly smaller files.

What happens to transparency when converting WebP to JPG?

JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent areas in your WebP image will be replaced with a white background during conversion. If you need to preserve transparency, consider converting to PNG instead using our WebP to PNG converter.

Will I lose quality when converting WebP to JPG?
