What is the difference between JPG and JPEG?

JPG and JPEG are exactly the same format. JPG is simply the three-character version of the file extension from older Windows systems. This tool produces standard .jpg files that work everywhere.

Can I convert HTML to PNG instead?

Yes! Switch the Image Format to PNG in the Advanced Image Options, or use our dedicated HTML to Image converter at /tools/convert-html-to-image/ which defaults to PNG and supports transparent backgrounds.

How do I control the JPG quality?

Open the Advanced Image Options and adjust the JPG Quality value (10-100). Higher values produce better-looking images with larger file sizes. 90 is a great default for crisp results.

What file formats can I upload?

You can upload .html or .htm files. Simply click the "Upload HTML" tab and either click to browse or drag and drop your file.

How do I get higher resolution JPG images?

Open the Advanced Image Options and increase the Scale setting. 2x gives high-quality output suitable for most uses, while 3x provides the best quality for retina displays and print.

Does the converter support external resources?

For security and privacy reasons, external resources (images, fonts, stylesheets) loaded from URLs may not render in the image. It's best to include all styles inline or use the Custom CSS tab.
